The Weird Lookin Dog series was a final project for my photography class at CCV.  The first image was the first one created in this series. While I was working on this project, I was also taking a graphic design class. I was learning how to use different filters in Photoshop, and decided to combine these skills along with everything that I had learned in my photo class.  I was playing around with the liquify filter when I came to the discovery of how cool photographs looked with this filter applied to them.  These images were created using the liquify filter over the whole photo, and then with my weird 'dog' over the top.  Other colors and effects were then applied to create the final result.

The inspiration for the title of this series came from my cat herself.  Daisy is a four year old, very small, Tortoiseshell cat from the Chittenden County Humane Society.  My boyfriend and I fell in love with her the second we saw her and had to bring her home with us.  It turns out that we had actually brought home a dog.  Daisy likes to steal our food, play fetch, and cause all kinds of chaos in our small one bedroom apartment.  No matter what kinds of messes she makes we will always love her.  I love to make all kinds of art with her as she is one of my favorite subjects.
